Swiftcomplete launches Reverse Geocoding API in Great Britain

By Chris Winfield

We're pleased to announce the launch of the Swiftcomplete Reverse Geocoding API, using the most accurate address-level coordinate data available in Great Britain.

Reverse geocoding is available through the @swiftcomplete/reverse-geocode npm package, or via a simple API.

What is reverse geocoding?

Reverse geocoding is the process of converting latitude longitude coordinates into readable locations or addresses.

It works by taking GPS coordinates and searching for the nearest matching addresses, streets or places. The process takes a couple of milliseconds and works for single addresses, or as a batch reverse geocoding process.

How do I get started?

It only takes a couple of minutes to get started:

  1. Create a Swiftcomplete account
  2. Generate an API key
  3. Integrate the Reverse Geocoding API or npm package

If you're an existing customer, get in touch and we'll add some free trial credits to your account so that you can give the new service a try.
